We appreciate everyone’s involvement in making the CES PTA a huge success. Supporting our students and teachers is our #1 mission and you all help make that happen. We are often asked how we allocate our PTA funds, therefore, I’ve listed some of the primary ways we make a difference. We are a non-profit 503c and we run strictly on the kindness of our volunteers, along with fundraisers and donations made by great families like you.

We have 3 main fundraisers that we depend on to provide the grants, programs, and activities our students and teachers enjoy: Fall Festival & Auction, Holiday House, and Spring Fun Run.

How do we give back? That is an excellent question. We offer amazing programs that allows us to bring various enrichment activities to our students.  The most recent programs were “One Book One School” and Teacher Creature.  In addition, we funding our Talent Show in a couple of weeks.

We love celebrating our students!  Every year PTA hosts a Start of School Party, Winter Wonderland Party, and year end celebrations for every student, and graduation for our kindergartners and 5th graders.  For graduating CES students we offer a college scholarship of $1,000 each to two alumni students. We have a committee that decides the winners. It is incredible to read how much talent comes from our school and deciding on just two alumni always proves a difficult decision. Last year’s winners are currently attending Yale University and Oklahoma University.

We love to be able to give back to our CES teachers and staff!  Our teachers spend 7.5 hours per weekday with our kids, developing and molding their futures. We want them to feel appreciated and happy to keep working at CES.  We offer each teacher at CES a $250 mini grant to use on supplies for their classroom. We also offer teacher scholarships to our CES staff for off-site conferences.  We provide our staff with snacks during their staff meetings and also help stock the lounge with goodies throughout the year. We also show our appreciation with daily meals and raffles during Teacher Appreciation week in May

Also, you have noticed the new water bottle filling stations that have been installed on campus. CES PTA contributed $5000 towards those stations.

This is not an all-inclusive list. Our budget is completely transparent and you are welcome to view it at any time. All budgets are approved by the executive board and then by the general membership. Please join us at any PTA general meetings to provide input. We welcome your feedback.

PTA has so many hard-working volunteers that are dedicated to student and teacher success. We hope you value this partnership as much as we do! We continue to thank you for your time, support and dedication to our students and teachers.
